Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon
I have a laptop which I run with a dual screen setup in work - laptop as bottom screen, VGA out vertically above it. I suspend the laptop in work, resume when I get home without the second screen. What is happening is on resume the password checker is appearing on the disconnected external monitor not the laptop monitor (I've simulated this in work and if I then plug the screen in I can see the prompt there). The laptop screen just looks blank. Once logged in the panels are not visible, again if I plugin an external screen then they show on that. Once I run the gnome-display-properties program, the panels appear on the laptop screen - this is without actually changing any settings in gnome-display-properties. I presume the solution is that a RandR test should be happening on resuming, as appears to be getting triggered when launching gnome- display-properties. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- randr changes don't happen when resuming from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/403736 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
