Sorry, as ubuntustudio cd's are already building, too late for karmic
proper, however Iulian was so kind to upload it to karmic-proposed, so
that it will get processed via StableReleaseUpgrades.

I'd like to express my thanks as well.. nevertheless would it be
possible to integrate the small set of patches attached? LMMS 0.4.6 is
on the road and I picked the most urgent fixes (especially the VST fix)
and I'd love to see them being integrated into Karmic's LMMS package.

The VST package is just a metapackage that pulls in Wine support which
is needed for the use of Windows-based VST instruments in LMMS. It's not
vital at all. Just as long as 0.4.5 gets into Karmic :)

I doubt that Luis is going for it, but someone has to do it though :).
I just saw, that the PPA from tobydox seems to have the -vst package
still split off. Maybe that would also be a good point to look at.

As 0.4.5 is in unstable, I'd suggest to proceed by merging that.

Any updates on this? We really, really don't want to see LMMS stuck at
0.4.2 even in Karmic - it gives users a bad impression, and people are
forced to add a PPA repository to get the latest version. It should be
as easy as browsing and finding the latest LMMS in add/remove.

That's true, Tobydox's packages work great on Jaunty and Karmic :) So
will they be included in Karmic as a feature freeze exception?

I've resubscribed motu-release. Enough people have tested Tobydox's PPA
archive version of LMMS 0.4.5 that there's no reason for it not to be
included now. Testing has been done for nearly a month now, and no one
has experienced any specific problems with the latest version on either
Karmic or Jaun
Any progress on this?

Good idea. We could use Tobydox's packages:
https://launchpad.net/~tobydox/+archive/lmms
So if someone can get his packages in Karmic as a feature freeze
exception, that would be great :)

I can't make the package, because it debuild says it failed. Can
somebody else make this package? Or else, can someone make sure this

will be a new version of LMMS before 10.04 comes out).

Unsubscribing motu-release for now. We are past Feature Freeze, so if
someone does the work to prepare and test and updated package, this bug
can be adjusted to be a feature freeze exception and motu-release can be
resubscribed.

If possible, could LMMS be updated from 0.4.2 to 0.4.5 despite the

0.4.5 is head and shoulders above the 0.4.2 release in terms of the
amount of bugs fixed and features added. The newer release does not need
any new dependencies apart from one relating to Zynaddsubfx, a software
