Update: I've tested with a Sansa Clip 4GB and it works. As far as I know the only difference is the PID (7432 for the 4GB model which works, 7434 for the 8GB model that doesn't). The firmware is the same in both models, minor revision 32, but the 4GB one has series 1 firmware and the 8GB one has
