This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this
being fixed by uninstalling the extra Flash packages. For future
reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the
current status in the yellow line and then choosing a new status in the
revealed drop down

Kubuntu 9.10 alpha was off to a great start until upgrading within KDE
as usual on 7/26. A reboot was requested and done. When logging in on
the login splash screen and hitting enter key progress appeared OK for
- about three seconds then loop back to the login splash
