Neil, you are godsend...But i found out an issue: When I boot my Ubuntu,
everything is working great...After 1-2 days, sound goes away from Wine
apps.I have to reboot Ubuntu to get audio back...All apps work great,
except Wine apps...Got any thoughts about it?

This is probably a useless comment, but if you have a creative soundblaster
X-fi card and possibly some of the other Creative cards the sound just goes
away after a while whether you are using pulseaudio or not. I have that
problem. I open NaturallySpeaking running in wine, close the

nice, and I can confirm that with Karmic this is not the case anymore. I
upgraded to your package with WinePulse, and everything is working

If you're running the correct version you should see:
wine1.2:

Can you report back if you still have problems with wine1.2 and
pulseaudio in the very latest version of karmic.
From my testing today, I've yet to have an issue with sound in Wine.

There will only be a pulseaudio option if you have the correct
libraries in place when you build the code. You need to make sure that
the libpulse-dev package is installed and you must run 'autoreconf' to
regenerate the configure script.
Hence why I created a package...

I have created a version of the wine1.2 package that includes a native
PulseAudio driver for wine. This packaged is targeted at the Karmic
distribution, so if you are testing out the new release can you try this
package and see if it improves the Wine sound on Ubuntu for you.

I compile from git, so I downloaded your three patches, successfully patched
the code, compiled, installed, loaded Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10S and tried to
train it.
The training still failed, with the exact same message as above.
This bug affects me, but I get everything but the mixer. I get waveout and
midis, and my mixer usually doesn't show up.
When it does, I try to use it, but the program hangs and then when I go back to
winecfg the mixer has gone.
I have not been able to use alsa for some time.
