I am told the problem is all of the USB networking code. That KVM
switch is now sitting on a shelf because I couldn't tolerate the issue.
I went back to a PS/2 based KVM switch until I needed higher resolution,
now I have to have full multiple setups to work. It blows.

This is still an issue with 11.10 - I have the same KVM switch. For
what it's worth, I booted with Fedora 15 Live and it had the same
problem. Prior to upgrading to 11.10, I was running 10.10 and it did
not have the problem.

This bug still exists in 10.04 LTS AMD 64-bit KUnbuntu. Someone seems to
have identified the network-manager as the culprit...most likely due to support
for USB network devices not making an exception for USB KVM switches.

This still exists with 10.04 KUbuntu 64-bit AMD.
It's in the GUI manager because if one boots to console only the KVM switch
works.

Today 2009-0929, I downloaded all 180+Meg of patches waiting for me,
installed, and rebooted. This is still busted. In fact it is now worse
since I have to unplug then plug in the keyboard after rebooting.
Various USB error messages show up on the screen about not being able to
