It fails with an UNO error, or did without that package. I will try in a
while, but have you heard of _anybody_ running 10.04 LTS 64-bit AMD who
actually got this to install?

To be honest, I haven't heard of anyone using this extension besides you
and the other person who said it worked after upgrading to the newer
ubuntu version. From what I saw on the extension description page it
sounded like openoffice.org-java-common would be required to make it
install and/or
That made it install, but it does not run or configure.
This is the _only_ extension which keeps me using OO. I use it to pubilshed

I imagine this will be difficult to trouble shoot if you aren't running a

Another user who had problems with said it started working for him back

under 10.04 64-bit AMD. It

I'm sorry.
You can close this or whatever. I've moved onto 10.04 Ubuntu and the Sun
Weblog Publisher doesn't work at all in 10.04. That is what confused me.
Eventually
If you don't have openoffice.org-java-common installed that might be the
reason that it won't install at all for you now, but I am not completely
certain. It appears it is a java extension which if it is you must have
that package installed for it to have any chance of it working.

As far as I can tell, yes. I will write another blog over the weekend and
The OOo in opensuse should be roughly the same as our version as we both
use the ooo-build patches. So if it still doesn't work on Ubuntu but
does on opensuse I will have to try to track down why.

I pretty much know _why_. It's AppArmor. A lot of stuff broke when Ubuntu
adopted that thing and didn't provide a GUI front end to adjust its settings
with. Even MySQL broke.

There are no profiles defined for external programs like this. Any

almost certainly not AppArmor.
