This bug was not solved, by closing it you imply there was no bug in the first place, but people disagree to that. I for one report the bug is there, .5 seconds is a too short delay and there is no way to change it. Meanwhile a patch was also released, see:

Was this really fixed? As far as I can tell, it wasn't. There is still no way to configure the time delay, other than disabling the feature disable touchpad while typing in the GUI, and then adding syndaemon -i X to the list of startup applications, where X is the delay time in seconds. The

I agree that the delay length should be configurable by the user. In the meanwhile, before the problem is solved, it is good to note that the present value of half a second delay is too short. A better alternative is a delay length closer to the default from syndaemon (2 seconds). -- Disable
