Same problem here (as of 10 aug 2009) with Eee pc 1005ha, except instead
of black, brown background pattern displays. No access to home screen
menus or icons. This is a critical bug!

I am confused as to why the importance is low since if i can not see the
screen i can not do more testing for you.
