-Open a terminal

-Then a fullscreen black appears (not gears).
-Press Esc key, the terminal show the output, but the window with glxgears

Yep, can confirm it blanks the screen. Btw if you do Alt+Tab instead of
Esc, you see the glxgears app running. Seems it's just triggering dpms
or something.
