I and my wife both have Lenovo Thinkpad x301 laptops with karmic and we
can reproduce it 100% of the time as well.

It is not fixed in 2.6.31-16-generic. I can still reproduce it 100% of
the time with Karmic on a Lenovo ThinkPad x301.

I can reproduce this 100% of the time with Karmic on a Lenovo ThinkPad
x301.

If AC power is connected, suspend/resume works fine.
If AC power is disconnected, suspend/resume works fine.
I am not suggesting this as a workaround, but thought it was worth
noting that I upgraded to Lucid and can no longer reproduce this
behavior.

Is there a work around for this that is known? This is a large
annoyance, granted nothing more, but it is severely annoying.

Same symptoms here on my Thinkpad x301. Resumes every time with the
power plugged in, but I get the blinking moon when it's unplugged..

I am not shure if this is the same.
My suspen resume just works fine. But for example when i unplug the power line
the computer is going to suspend (sometimes when the screen is locked). After
this when i wake up the computer, i can see the locked screen password dialog
and the little moon is

I did testing on this yesterday, and can confirm that my T500 only fails
to resume from suspend when the power adapter was inserted before
suspend, and is removing before the computer resumes from sleep.
