Public bug reported: Binary package hint: diff-ext
Overview: When you just installed diff-ext and try to compare two (or three) files from the context menu Compare entry in Nautilus, you get no result. Steps to reproduce: – Fresh install ofdiff-ext, – Select two (or three) files in Nautilus, – Open context menu, – Select compare. Actual result: Nothing happens Expected result: Open the installed compare editor (meld for instance). Additional informations: – Downloading the sources, you could see that since hardy, meld has been added in the recommended package to install with diff-ext, but that is not the default choice (kdiff3 is (found in diff-ext.schemas.in)). – gconf is used for the configuration of the default comparison app, and there is also a GUI in the Development applications menu. ** Affects: diff-ext (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Branch linked: lp:ubuntu/jaunty/diff-ext ** Description changed: Binary package hint: diff-ext Overview: When you just installed diff-ext and try to compare two (or three) files from the context menu Compare entry in Nautilus, you get no result.
