Public bug reported: On Karmic 32-bit; I do not know the source of the bug... After upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic, my second monitor is no longer working. nvidia-settings detects both monitors, but thinks one is a CRT (both are HANNS.G HX192; 19" LCD flat panels). I've tried moving xorg.conf to xorg.conf.backup and running nvidia-xconfig, rebooting then attempting to configure again in nvidia-settings, but the monitor never receives a signal.
Of course, this worked in Juanty with the nvidia-settings GUI. Using nvidia driver 185.18.14 as packaged with the nvidia-180* packages (selected using the restricted drivers app). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dual karmic monitor nvidia ** Description changed: On Karmic 32-bit; - I do not know the source of the but...maybe it's in the nvidia modules, maybe xorg... + I do not know the source of the bug...
