I'm running Ubuntu on a HP Touchsmart IQ522, following http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/hp_touchsmart after adding "options snd-hda-intel model=mobile", the sound is working, but I can't get the mic to work. I've tried the other models : desktop,laptop,thinkpad... no result I've noticed that every time I open the gnome-volume-control all the microphones are muted.
