I followed the procedures outline at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume with the
following results:
* Trying to hibernate using pm_hibernate from console mode fails apparently in
the same way as when in X
* I ran the per-system hibernate tests as outlined. Each of
