I found something strange regarding to read movie dvds. I was trying to
read movie dvd and I got an error message to.
I was able to solve that issue to set in mountmanager as allowed user to
mount "users" before it was administrators only. My be it is regarding a
permission set in HAL (org/freedes
I found something which is strange to me... gvfs-mount seems to set cdda to sr0
and not /dev/sr0 or /dev/scd0
I also tried to change iso9660 instead of udf in fstab
rolf@:~$ gvfs-mount -l
Drive(0): CD-RW-/DVD±RW-Laufwerk
Type: GProxyDrive (GProxyVolumeMonitorHal)

i´m using GRUB 2 too... i don´t know really how this works :S any body

I have configured the repositories to update everything except
backports. But No updates received since I have installed ubuntu
(alternate) was fixing it.
Now I read something like try to restart dbus daemon or set some
variables to grub.cfg.
all_generic_dma=1
all_generic_ide=1
But im not sure h
i was experiencing this bug too but i don´t know if this bug are fixed
in newer upgrades, when i´m copying DVD, cp /dev/hdb
/mnt/videofiles/file.iso in some sector this file and dmesg show a lots
of lines showing "read error"
