Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firebird2.1-common
Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 firebird2.1-common: Installed: 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status firebird2.1-dev: Installed: 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.1.1.17910-release.ds1-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status We have been trying to run the FreeAdhocUDF library and other custom UDF without any success on Jaunty. I've checked where you installed firebird's libs and includes but libib_util.so is not in the same location as the others. Firebird does not crash but behaves incorrectly because of this. When I copied libib_util.so in /usr/lib, all of the UDFs worked without hiccups and I didn't even need to specify the full path of the UDF when declaring external functions. This library is crucial for memory allocation in UDFs but because firebird can't find it where it's currently at it doesn't behave correctly. ** Affects: firebird2.1 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: firebird2.1 -- libib_util.so is not installed in the right directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/419198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
