in my case

I confirm this bug too. its very strange, i seems to appear when i try
to use audio-in, like testing audio-in devices like microphone or webcam
with a microphone. So if i try to use skype it crashes and there is no
sound at all and respawns all the time

I can confirm this bug (same symptoms) on amd64 with version
1:0.9.16~test6-3-g57e1-0ubuntu1 of the pulseaudio packages.
Returning to the previous version (1:0.9.16~test5-0ubuntu2) fixes it.
Also pulseaudio is unusable while this bug occur (no sound).
