Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Ubuntu Netbook Remix Release: 9.10 evolution: Installed: 2.27.90-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.27.90-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.27.90-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status When in evolution contacts, I double click on a contact to edit their info, when organizing the categories of the contacts (or if I right click and select "open" on a contact) it defaults to the "notes" tab making editing of names, numbers and categories cumbersome and slow. Why is the default tab /view it opens to edit is 'notes'? Isn't there a faster way to edit a contact or organize many contacts into categories? Currently I need to click on the "contact" tab, then "categories" button and so on. This results in over a half dozen clicks for each contact I need to organize into a category. I should be able to bulk organize contacts into groups and category together in a click, or with drag and drop. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- edit contact defaults to notes section https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/419387 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
