ok this is an odd bug certain programs lock up the system, javaws (from
icedtea) and the lastest updating of mono cause a hard lockup
these lockup have interesting features
1) it progressively becomes more locked up, first firefox becomes unresponsive,
then other programs lock up
I'm able to use top to inspect that no program is using more than 5% CPU
2) seams to be only JIT compilers that are causing the problem
3) it's corrupting my filesystem (log attached)
