Accordingly to this file [1], this newspaper [2], and also because I'm Italian, 
there is an error in the way the date is displayed in linux.
The correct format for Italian speakers is:
day_name day_number month_name year, HH:MM:SS, time_zone

in the LC_TIME date_fmt things are really mixed up and should be changed to:
%a %e %b %Y, %H:%M:%S, %Z

the file localedata/locales/it_IT needs to be changed, but I can't
understand how, since there are only strange codes
