Isn't this fixed in Karmic stable and Lucid? I remember I had this issue
a long time ago but then it vanished.

Hello,
I have the same problem on Karmic 64 alpha 5 : nautilus as normal user
works very fine, but I am not able to run it as root via terminal
Here is the error I get when I type sudo nautilus :
Initializing nautilus-clamscan extension
