@Leann: i now managed to install your packages via remote on a machine
at home (where a dvb-t signal is available) and got it tested by a
friend. worked as expected. so thumbs up from my side.

@Leann: sorry i can't test your kernel for the next week or so, since
i'm currently in an area where no dvb-t broadcasting is avaibable. but
as i said i applied exactly the same patch on the source of 2.6.31-8.28
(from main) and it worked. i hope Thomas can help out in the meantime.

just confirmed the issue and the fix on the 2.6.31-8.28 release. the
recompiled module for this kernel release is attached for easy testing.
just rmmod the default one and insmod this.
