Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hplip
I have an HP OfficeJet Pro L7600 printer which was working correctly on a network with Windows and Hardy machines. I changed it to another network with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty machines. Configured the printer with HPLIP, printed a test page and all was well. However, upon printing two sided, I got some errors after printing the first side of the page. The printer status on Ubuntu was: /usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed and Cups' log said it had an "error status 9" After painful hours, I decided to use a modified (by me) version of the PPD on my Hardy machine. And it works correctly! So it seems there might be a problem with the ppd file of this printer on newer versions. I attach the working PPD. ** Affects: hplip (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cups duplex hplip officejet ppd printing -- Error printing two sided on HP OfficeJet Pro L7600 - wrong PPD file in package https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423618 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
