Personally I like breadcrumb trails for navigation, but many users (my
parents, for example) are much more comfortable using forward/back(/up,
maybe?) buttons for navigation. For the sake of UI consistency with
other default apps (Nautilus and Firefox, just to name a couple), it

I was navigating the app list today and found the need to go up a level
(e.g. from Internet to Get free software) but there was no way to do it
through the keyboard.
I would certainly like a keyboard shortcut (backspace, alt+left...) to
go back to the parent category.

It might turn out that future features, e.g. cross-references between
packages, make a Back button necessary. Otherwise, we'll do user testing
to see if people expect it anyway.
