Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
/etc/init.d/Networkmanager should check to see if the machine is booting via NFS before running and killing the existing network connection, which causes the machine running via NFS to freeze. I'd suggest checking for root=/dev/nfs in /proc/cmdline, or better yet would be to check /proc/mounts for a line showing / to be mounted via nfs. I would not trust /etc/mtab, that may show something different if the NFS share is read only. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Network Manager shouldn't run if booting via NFS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423916 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
