It is possible that the latest kernel fixes a bunch of usb anomalies.
Amit mentioned that there were several usb related patches. I am now
seeing good behavior as well with my Pegasus based usb-nic. I no longer
have the DM9601 based nic (gave it to Amit).

Have some more information on this, I managed to get a dm9601 USB nic
working.
Steps taken:
1) Power up b2.0 board.
2) Set date/time correctly.
3) Power down board.
4) Plug in dm9601 based USB nic with network cable inserted.
5) Power back on board.

So Tobin is stuck in extracting the dmesg because we have no serial
console support in casper and he has no DVI screen at the moment.

Until I get a replacement monitor with DVI (eta Sept 23, 2009), all I
can do is test the same devices on other platforms. Most recently, I
tested the same nics on Alpha 6 release for dove and they worked fine
there.

there is no tty listening on the serial port by default, you can only
manually create a tty setup for it in an installed system, i dont think
it is possible to do that in a live system atm ...

I'm still seeing these issues with the image from 20090910. The kernel
is 2.6.31-100-imx51.
Here's the jest of it. If I plug in the pegasus based usb-nic, dmesg
will show that driver loading, but ps ax shows modprobe hung. lsusb
will also hang.
