Here's a screenshot. I can add that I don't seem to get this bug when I
logout and log back in. It only occurs after a reboot or cold boot.

I have gotten this bug every day for at least a month. It happens on
every boot. I have to run sudo killall gnome-panel every time I start
the computer. I agree this should have a higher priority. Running up
to date Karmic.

As an additional not, the first log in has always been long for me. This
issue only appeared after my upgrade to Karmic.

He's not the only one. I alos have this issue. Please see the attached
screenshot. That's what I got on first login.
If I log out and log in, all the applets are correctly loaded.
All I can say is, on my machine, the log in sequence is quite long,
especially after a reboot. So may be some too sho

the reason the bug is low is that you are the only one to get it so far
which doesn't make it a blocker for ubuntu

I disagree this is low as it make everything on gnome panel unusable
Set to high for the reason i stated. Gnome panel should always work without
having to use "killall" New users seeing this problem may not know to use
killall in TTY and they are unable to get help without launchers working.

I stopped the debug command before it was complete it has been running
for a while and looked like it was not going to stop on its own.

I was unable to getoutput from gnome-session --debug 2>&1 | tee
"gnome-session-debug.log" from tty#
I had to killall gnome-panel than i can run it.
Also note about first comment. none of the launchers will load apps
without using "killall gnome-panel"
