First test on Karmic 9.10 Alpha 6 seems to have fixed the tcp crash,
although wifi shows regular disconnects/reconnects at the AP association
level. I will do some more tests to check out wired and wireless
connections.

based kernel available in the Karmic 9.10 Alpha release -
