workaround: disable all advanced graphical desktop/window effects under ubuntu
system => preferences => appearance => visual effects => none
Worked for me. But this schould still be addressed by the devs in my
opinion!

I have the same issue. I already had it under the version before karmic
koala (jaunty).
It would be very nice to get this fixed. I'm switching to windows for
this at the moment so best to fix it quick ;)

I have the same issue. It does not crash consistently, but more often
on older version of ILO1, less on ILO2.
