Seems as if other Acer notebooks are having a similar problem:

I've read in an opensuse forum (forgot the link) the problem seems to be coz of
the HDD failing to start as the machine resumes.
It fits well with log of this bug report (No such file or directory errors).

I`ve just tested with the new BIOS ver 1.13 - still not resuming from suspend.
BTW ppl with a acer 3810t/3410t have the same problem.

We`re getting closer to the final release of karmic and this bug still
exists. I`m getting a little nervous that it won't be fixed until the
the final release. Is there anything we can do to have the status change

As far as I know, nobody's able to resume Acer Timeline machines from
suspend. I've just upgraded Karmic and the resume still fails with
kernel linux-image-2.6.31-10-generic 2.6.31-10.35. More specifically,
the machine enters suspend fine and the power led starts to blink
orange. A press of the
