I had a quite similar problem which i think is related to that
Starting cairo-dock without -e xfce, everytime i inserted some
removeable media, i was asked if it should be mounted even if it was
already.
With cairo-dock -e xfce the mounted drive show the correct disk-usage
and opens properly in t

also, what if, i nthe same session, you open the folder with
xdg-open /path/to/folder ?

Nope, it still opens Nautilus. I could temporarily fix this by modifying
~/.local/share/applications/defaults.list, but when using Gnome, it
opens Thunar. Fortunately I don't use Gnome that often.

I've commented this function, maybe we can just use
thunar_vfs_mime_handler_exec for folders as well.

using xdg-open would also make sense. Anyway, with a properly configured
system, it should open the folder using Nautilus... I'll check that, as I'm
using Xfce+Cairo-dock for developping.
