Thanks for your bugreport. You should not write files in the users homedir from a package postinst. That will cause a lot of problems, it will fail on shared NFS homedirs, it will fail because it writes only to one home, etc. Just don't do it. ** Changed in: gdebi (Ubuntu) Status: New => I
