I'm not seeing this problem anymore, so seems like it was the same
problem as bug #439138.

For me, booting with the old kernel 2.6.31-12 instead of the 2.6.31-13
solves the problem

I'm getting this issue now. My Xorg is taking up 100% CPU. This is as of
10 minutes ago. (9th Oct, 19:20 UTC)
This is making my laptop barely usable.

the fix doesn't work for me, i have made an update today and after
restarting(for the update) this bug occured again!
i wanted to post this bug, then i've seen, that this could be the same

A proper reboot with todays updates seems to have made this problem
vanish. Xorg is back to 4-8% CPU time even with composer enabled.
