I have a HP Photosmart C6280 and I've been hit by this bug since Karmic
too...
Adding the all-in-one based on hp-makeuri seems to get the scanner
working about:
$ hp-makeuri 192.168.9.2
CUPS URI: hp:/net/Photosmart_C6200_series?ip=192.168.9.2
SANE URI: hpaio:/net/Photosmart_C6200_series?ip=192.1
In my fury I had one last go on trying to install the scanner, and now
it seems to have worked! :)
Initially, the printer was detected as
"dnssd://Photosmart%20C5100%20series%20%5BB92029%5D._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/"
I was able to print just fine with that, but scanning never worked as
seen in
Anyone? Maybe a hint of where to look? I haven't been able to scan a
single page since i switched from Jaunty to Karmic!
