More info - exited Firefox and then stuff released in the log and sound started working. I wonder if it is something there - like Flash player or if it just happened to be the thing running when it died. I'll keep checking. Firefox 3.5.2. -- Pulseaudio uses 100% CPU, locks up system https://bugs

Reply to Daniel's email: I'm not really doing anything when it locks up. It seems to be random, or it could be after Lotus Notes plays an alert sound. Or maybe Firefox. Or not. I'm seeing this happen daily in Lucid. Killing pulseaudio via System Monitor is the only way to stop it. Eventually it respawns and sound works for a while and then it locks up at 100% CPU again. Any other news on this issue? -- Pulseaudio uses 100% CPU, locks up system https://bugs.launchpad.ne
