Original bug report was about libboost-thread-dev missing .a files. This
package seems to contain:
./usr/lib/libboost_thread-gcc-mt-1_33_1.a
./usr/lib/libboost_thread.a

I have install libboost-dev1.33.1-7ubuntu1 on Edgy and these files are
still nowhere to be found. I have included an attachment of the output
of dpkg -L libboost-dev to verify these files are non-existant.

This should be fixed on boost (1.33.1-3), version 1.33.1-7 is on Edgy.

I can verify these files seem to not exist on Dapper nor on Edgy. I've
searched everywhere and can't find anything at all unfortunately.
