One more observation - when I try to connect to TKIP secured AP, I
actually kick-off the other users of that AP off the net... This has
been already described in other bug reports... Very strange.

I experience the same problem. All the APs set to WPA-TKIP are
problematic. I am only able to connect to those being set to WPA2-AES.
My PC is Thinkpad T60 with Intel 3945. I am running fully updated Karmic
Final.

to WPA2(AES) solved problem for me.
Now network is working fine, but it just won't work with TKIP. This might be
Access Point issue - it's just low-budget Planet AP.

I seem to be able to connect to a WPA-secured wireless LAN without
issues. Arguably, it is secured with WPA2.
Using the same versions; and linux-image-2.6.31-11-generic 2.6.11-11.36.
Could you please verify the version of the kernel you are using, and
make sure your system is fully up to date.

Same problem here using Ubuntu karmic 9.10.
In jaunty it worked fine with same hardware. I think there's some problem with
WPA, because it works when I turn encryption off on AP.

Hi,
Could you please provide the system log and as many other details about
your connection as described here?
http://userbase.kde.org/NetworkManagement#Reporting_Bugs (You won't have
to give distro version, though :P)
Thanks in advance.
