[karmic] n-m doesn't allow static interfaces without a ga
Well, figured out after all... having saved my old n-m config some
debbugin' could be done... It was pretty simple... just add 0.0.0.0 as a
gateway solves the problem... the bug is that the apply button should be
accessible to click even with no gateway... and assign 0.0.0.0 as the
gateway for that
In my case:
- I have two wired nics...
- both connect to different routers with a /24 netmask (255.255.255.0)
- each router has it's own ISP...
I need a simple way to switch from one ISP to another, in the past
(9.04) I used to set two "profiles" per NIC, one with and without
gateway, and swi

Have you tried setting "Use this connection only for resources on its network"
under Routes in the IPv4 Parameters tab?
Please try to set this for all interfaces which do not need to set a default
gateway and let us know if the situation improves.

Same here. And also a bonus, because my network used to work fine before
jumping in 9.10 alpha 6. Now I've got the gateway at the wrong interface
(eth0 instead of eth1) and eth1 which demands dhcp from CMTS (cable
here) doesn't set up itself as gateway anymore. Every time I reboot here
