I can confirm this bug too (single desktop in openbox, despite a configuration of 4 desktops) My set-up is: gdm: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 openbox: 3.4.7.2-4 (not using tint at all) Indeed, this problem did not happen in Ubuntu 9.04. I only experienced it in a fresh install of 9.10. --
