I also have these crashes with network-manager and they've been around
since i installed the beta. I doesn't happen all the time but when it
happens it's always at log in and it never seems to effect anything.

I have never had a problem crashing.
However, I am still not able to connect to my network wirelessly. To work
around this, I moved the Dell Inspiron 1545n close enough to the router to
connect by wire. I realize that crashing is a much bigger problem.

have you patched all the recent updates? use sudo apt-get if the update
manager crash. if the desktop crash Ctrl+alt+F1 and login, then sudo
apt-get and follow necessary line if asked for dpkg, and then sudo
reboot

Still happens on a recently updated (a couple of hours back) 64 bit
Gnome desktop, doesn't really bother me because the process - I guess -
restarts automatically, so I don't even notice a break in
communications, I keep sending duplicates so that you know it's not
fixed yet... Good Luck!

terminal:
sudo apt-get update
sudo atp-get upgrade
sudo dpkg --configure -a

For me this bugs occurs whenever I try to specificed a IP instead of
using DHCP.
THe NM crash and dont save nothing, so it continues with DHCP, this is a
showstopper in large enterprises where it is not permited DHCP Servers
for security reasons.
