Good point, I didn't try a normal reboot, just a shutdown, but post-
installation reboots appear fine to me.

I can confirm this bug, even when after installation and the first
reboot, I tried a normal boot and then choose a reboot, it cannot be
complete and just stops at some place seems to be the very beginning of
the new boot.
Don't know if ubiquity is the exact package affected, but I guess not.
