While sending apport-collect , an error appear at terminal (copied here for
reference):

Same problem for me (Ubuntu 9.10 + Firefox 3.5.7 on Acer Aspire One 110,
intel GMA + Compiz).
My work around is to open an new window and then closing it (ctrl+n,
ctrl+w). After that auto completion starts working again in my original
window. (The new window opened also has working auto

Same problem on a Dell Latitude E6500 with an Intel graphic card (Intel
Corporation Mobile 4 Series Integrated Controller), and on a Dell XPS
M1710 with Nvidia graphic card (GeForce Go 7950 GTX).
Here, also, the problem appears after visual effects are turned on.
