I was suffering from this mysefl and found a solution:

I disabled the search bar and it worked again.

The error must be triggerd by a setting somewhere in the .kde folder. As
I had many errors last few days with a .kde folder witch is maybe 2 or 3
years old, I deleted the complete directory. As I recreated them by new
login, some errors, including that one disappeared. There was also some
problems
It's a dolphin bug anyway, and would best be reported at bugs.kde.org.

As nixternal said me, try to remove ~/.kde/share/config/dolphinrc, it
will probably fix the problem.

Oh, that was actually a toolbar pane that had come unattached from the
window, I had this bug too. But it seems to have fixed itself by 9.10.
Is it still a problem for you?
