Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport
(9.10 beta) When I go to file a bug report against Firefox, either using Help -> Report a Problem or "ubuntu-bug firefox", it launches apport, submits the system details, but does not launch a report window if Firefox is already running. If I run "ubuntu-bug firefox", I see this: r...@linda:~$ ubuntu-bug firefox r...@linda:~$ The program 'firefox' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 631 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) This does not appear to happen if Firefox is not already running, or if it's run against another package, oddly enough (I'm using "ubuntu-bug apport" to report this, without problem).
