on a Thinkpad T42p running Kubuntu 9.04 with all updates.
The Network Upgrade just stops after downloading with a non-helpful error
message.
The remedy command dpkg --configure -a does not help.
KPackageManager displays now about 480 upgradable packages and 350 blocked
packages!

* Attempting to upgrade via the Alternate CD upgrade method produced an error
message indicating that there was a problem with the dependencies for a package
called:
openoffice.org-filter-binfilter
* manually removed this package
* upgrade is now installing.
