Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pppoeconf

Upgraded to 9.04 to 9.10beta. On reboot internet can't connect.
If config results are ok. ping google.com said: ping: unknown host google.com
then /etc/init.d/networking restart is temporary fixing. But when restart
computer problem still there.

I'm configured /etc/network/interfaces with static lan ip and configured
my DSL connection with pppoeconf.

There are many people with same problem (http://ubuntu-
virginia.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8050910 etc)
