Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
I don't know if it's related, but I noticed that when rhythmbox
visualization is turned off, or rhythmbox is minimized, it seems to
still be processing, cpu is still going but it stops when I press pause.

Visualization works but it often hangs after some time. This doesn't
seem to happen if I use the visualization in Totem which seems to be the
same.
I have an AMD HD 4870 and using the free radeon driver.

thanks for the report, that works fine here i get visualizations, which
video card do you have, do you get any error on the console? Could you
attach your xorg.conf to the report? Thanks.
