Hi, I am getting also the similar result with ubuntu 10.04

Well, I've tried, and the current sabayon won't build on jaunty, owing
to gnome-doc-utils being too old.
Any chance you can test on Karmic or Lucid? The fixed symlink handling
seems to fix that for me.

I've got a much newer sabayon in my ppa. Can you give that one a try?
I think the new one that correctly handles symlinks may help you.
