natty works fine after 'do-release-upgrade' for me, except blur effect:
enabling it autodisables effects by KDE at all.
It is just annoying thing, that can be reverted by manually adjust
kwinrc settings, so it is no more a bug for me.

The crash is with the ATI X1600 and X600 in any time the effects on, the last
update is at 10.10.2009. I have check this on 3 PC with Intel-chipset and
ATI-card, radeon driver! The KDE crash and the login-screen is present.
